On Sunday, July 14, 2024, Serbian Novak Djokovic, 37, like last year, will face Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, 21, in Wimbledon Men's final. The match will be historic, as Novak Djokovic will be seeking to outscore himself with 24 Grand slams singles won and Carlos Alcaraz is one victory away to become, as Boris Becker and Bjorn Borg, one of the only men in the Open era, which began in 1968, with multiple championships at the All England Club with less than 22 years-old. Their match will be a repeat of the 2023 Wimbledon, hence a first time the same players meet in consecutive Wimbledon men finals since Djokovic beat Roger Federer in 2014 and 2015.
It is expected that like last year, Novak Djokovic will try hard to outscore Carlos Alcaraz. Since last year's Wimbledon Final, Novak Djokovic has beaten Carlos Alcaraz twice, at the ATP Masters 1000 Cincinnati and the Nitto ATP Finals. But in Wimbledon, the stakes are high and both Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are expected to show more resilience and stand their ground.
Novak Djokovic, No 2 seed, beat No. 25 seed Lorenzo Musetti 6-4, 7-6 (2), 6-4 in the semi-finals.
Carlos Alcaraz, who is currently ranked world No 3 and has been ranked world No. 1 in men's singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals , has been making great progress. Despite a major challenge earlier in the semi-finals on Friday July 12, 2024, he was able to beat the Russian Daniil Medvedev. He won by 6-7 (1), 6-3, 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals at Centre Court.

In Wimbledon men finals of 2023, Carlos Alcaraz overcame a major challenge in the first set and was able to beat Novak Djokovic 1-6, 7-6, 6-1, 3-6, 6-4, winning his second career grand slam. He also won the U.S. Open in 2022 and the French Open against Alexander Zverev with 3-6, 6-2, 7-5, 1-6, 2-6 on June 9, 2024 and is 3-0 in major finals.
In 2022 Novak Djokovic won the title for the fourth time in a row, after defeating Australia's Nick Kyrgios, then 27, in the final match. With the win, Novak Djokovic set a record seventh title at the Wimbledon All England Club.
Whoever will win, between Carlos Alcaraz or Novak Djokovic, will make history.
But the high stakes are fueling the competition: Novak Djokovic wants to reclaim the Wimbledon title whereas Carlos Alcaraz wants to reaffirm his best.
Hence, all eyes are now on both of them. Be Ready for the Wimbledon Finals...
