Simone Biles, 27, the most decorated gymnast in the World championships history, the recipient of the US Medal of Freedom, and the first female gymnast to win six all-around world titles has won the all-around gymnastics title in 2024 Paris Olympics and secured her second Olympic gold in Paris and sixth overall gold medal. Sunisa "Suni" Lee, the defending Olympic all-around champion before the US , who overcame kidney disease, won the bronze medal. Brazil's Rebeca Andrade won the silver.

Simone Biles was key in the win on July 30, 2024 by the United States women gymnastics team to reclaim the title. The team including Simone Biles, Jade Carey, Jordan Chiles, Sunisa Lee, and Hezyl Rivera regained the gold medal lost to Russia in the 2024 Tokyo Olympics.
The individual finals on Thursday August 1, 2024 were a major test for Simone Biles, to take back the title of the world's best gymnast after she missed it in 2024 Tokyo Olympics.
Simone Biles won the 2016 Rio Olympics and was the top favorite in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. But, due to the "twisties" condition, she withdrew from the final competition. Sunisa "Suni" Lee, then, won the 2020 Tokyo Olympic all-around champion gold medal.
Hence, in the 2024 Paris Olympics, there was another historical competition. For the first time, two female Olympic all-around gymnasts champions, Simone Biles as the Rio Olympics gold medallist and Suni Lee as the 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medallist, were facing each other for a second Olympics woman gymnastics title.

Simone Biles Overcame a Personal Challenge
In 2024 Paris Olympic Games, the US Gymnasts team faced the hard task to regain the top spot they lost to Russia in the 2020 Japan Olympics Games. But Simone Biles was up against even more personal challenge.
Her challenges started during the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, when she stumbled upon landing after competing in vault during the Women's Team Final, experiencing the twisties. Afterward she decided to pull out of multiple finals to protect her mental health and safety. Meanwhile, she got married Chicago Bears safety Jonathan Owens in 2023.
The 2024 Paris Olympics were very important for Simone Biles and she rose up to the challenge.
Simone Biles, now even more the Greatest of All Times (GOAT) Gymnast, has consistently dominated the Olympic trials, especially with the floor routines.
After winning, she celebrated showing off a goat necklace and saying "It's a little ode... a lot of people love it. They always call me the GOAT, so I thought it would be really special if I got one made."
Simone Biles has confirmed het GOAT status and is the first gymnast to win non-consecutive all-around Olympic titles. Now the next steps are for winning the USA Gymnastics team even more gold medals.
